The caller said they were from BT OpenReach and asked if I could check my router because my broadband had problems. It might’ve been genuine since the number was a main Newcastle line. But honestly, because I’m from the Indian community, I’m wary of calls with Indian accents. I’ve been on the receiving end of too many scams like that. If this was a real call, I just couldn’t bring myself to trust it.
