I received a call purporting to be from BT, saying my broadband was at risk - the typical scam nonsense. They wanted me to hit button 9 to chat with an advisor, but all that does is connect you to their outrageously expensive premium-rate international line! You end up burning through your credit just hanging on the line, waiting for something that never happens. Do yourself a favour and block this number!

Got a call pretending to be from BT, saying there’s a problem with my internet or something dodgy going on. They keep pushing you to hit 8 to speak with an “advisor” but really it just hooks you up to some expensive premium number. Classic scam, trying to rip you off. Watch out for these!
