Got a quite daft call about arranging some sort of meeting at our office about "communications". They refused to say which company they represented or explain what the call was about. Kept pestering me to pick a date and time for them to come round. Properly annoying and felt like a marketing fail. Definitely don’t bother with them.

Had a bizarre call from someone wanting to chat with our manager, but she wouldn’t say why. She kept insisting she’d spoken to him before and that she’d call again when she was nearby. When I checked if it was something work-related or personal, she admitted it was personal. We suggested she ring him on his mobile, but she said she didn’t want to disturb him there - which made it clear she didn’t even have his number. Since our manager doesn’t deal with cold calls, I asked if she could leave a message to pass on, but she just said she’d call back later. Totally pointless. Would steer clear of this one.
