I've received countless calls from this number in the last month, incessantly prattling on about some government boiler initiative. I'm registered with BT's Telephone Preference Service, so I'm baffled as to how these calls are slipping through the cracks. I've made a report to the Information Commissioner's Office, but frankly, I suspect they're as ineffective as BT in dealing with these nuisances. The frustration is compounded by the fact that I recently lost a close mate from Newcastle, and it's disheartening to have to answer calls from an unfamiliar number with the same area code. To top it off, when you try to end the call, there's no immediate disconnection, leaving you unable to use your line for several minutes. These callers are in dire need of hefty fines, yet I doubt the new regulations will be of any real consequence.

I keep getting calls from this number, banging on about some government scheme for a new boiler that I never asked for. Quite bothersome, really!

I received a call from this number while I was enjoying a soak in the tub. It rang incessantly for a good ten minutes. Afterward, I tried to return the call using 1471, but the BT operator informed me that the number seemed to be unlisted or not valid. Quite puzzling! Best, S. Simpson

I've received yet another call from this number this week. It was a pre-recorded message blabbering on about some government-funded boiler scheme. I even hit '9' to opt out, but it didn't change a thing. I'm registered with the TPS, so I find it utterly baffling that these calls keep coming through!

The phone rang twice today, once this morning and then again just after five in the afternoon. We’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so we ought to be exempt from these sorts of promotional calls!

I caught a mention of 'Peter from (something) Energy' but missed a key detail, so I've added this number to my blocked list.

I received a call regarding a boiler upgrade, but it was rather inconvenient since it came through on my direct work line. Seems like it’s just some sort of automated dialing system at play!

Just received a pre-recorded call regarding the Government’s Green Deal - you know the drill, press 2 to chat or hit 9 to opt out. It's rather infuriating since we’re already registered with TPS and shouldn’t even be getting these calls! I’m planning to flag this with OfCom and the ICO, though I doubt anything will come of it.

I received a pre-recorded message concerning funds for improving boilers, insulation, and solar panels. It urged me to press 2 if I wanted to arrange a visit since they were in the vicinity. Instead, I figured I'd just take a moment to tidy up my nails...

My elderly mother, who is 89, received a call from this number claiming she had won a lovely sum of £10,000, and all they needed was for her to verify her identity by providing her bank details. Thankfully, she had the good sense not to fall for it. However, it was incredibly distressing for her as they seemed to possess a concerning amount of her personal information. I attempted to contact the number myself, but it didn’t connect, so hence my reason for reporting it here. I also tried to get in touch with BT, but unfortunately their nuisance call line doesn’t operate on a Sunday.
