I picked up after a couple of missed rings and they were asking for a Mrs Fleming, but that’s not me. I told them loads of people have been calling about her and then the caller just cut me off, shouting that I couldn’t possibly have that many calls because they only just got my number, love.

I had an unexpected call recently from someone claiming to be associated with the government's renewable energy initiative. To my surprise, he even knew my name! Once I expressed my disinterest, he turned rather hostile and confrontational. He rudely questioned how I could possibly be uninterested without hearing him out, attempting to dominate the conversation. I reiterated that I typically avoid unsolicited calls, and he had the audacity to yell, ‘So why do you pick up then?!’ At that point, I had enough and hung up.
