I received a call from someone with a strong Asian accent claiming to be from the "do not call" registry, asking to confirm my information. They abruptly ended the call.

I received a call yesterday from someone inquiring whether I had experienced any nuisance calls. They seemed particularly interested in my credit card expiry date, but I didn't have it at hand. To my surprise, they rang me back today, still pushing for my card information. I eventually revealed the expiry date, but they kept pressing for further details. When I hesitated, they reassured me that it was perfectly safe to share more information. That was my cue to hang up. Just ten minutes later, the phone rang again.

I received a call from someone claiming to represent a phone blocking service, but then they quickly requested my credit card information. The caller seemed to be based in India and struggled quite a bit with their English. To me, this whole situation feels decidedly like a scam. Proceed with caution!

He mentioned he was affiliated with a service aimed at blocking such calls. Once I requested that my number be removed from his list, his tone turned rather aggressive and he abruptly disconnected the call. Quite uncalled for, really!

Claimed to be associated with the ‘do not call’ registry, but I could clearly hear the buzzing of some overseas call centre in the background. What a plonker!

Called my landline briefly and then disconnected just as I picked up.
