Got a call on my ancient fax number, so instantly thought scam. The line was really patchy at the start, kept cutting out - probably one of those dodgy overseas calls using a fake number. Then the guy said he was my local energy advisor and was ringing because my house showed up on some website (didn’t catch which one) as still having old-style loft insulation - you know, that yellow fluffy stuff (never heard a "pro" actually say it like that before!). He asked, “Is that what you have?”
I do have it, but there’s no way I’m telling some robotic-sounding caller. Plus, it does its job fine anyway.

Had a call from some automated voice claiming to be my “local energy performance advisor,” pushing loft insulation. The number started with 01908, which I know is Milton Keynes, but I’m based in Somerset - how does that make them local? Plus, I’m on the TPS list, so no proper company ought to be ringing me out of the blue. I’ve already blocked the number but I’m pretty sure I’ll get another call soon from a different one. So annoying! :(

Such a waste of time! Honestly, they keep doing the exact same thing expecting a different outcome. It’s daft, not clever salesmanship at all. Just plain ridiculous!

Sounds like another scam to me. Claiming to be from a local engineer (yeah, right?). Probably some loft insulation nonsense again.
