I received a call from a woman inquiring about my well-being, but to be honest, I couldn't discern which company she was representing or the purpose of her call. There was an awful lot of background noise—something that sounded suspiciously like a chainsaw buzzing away. When I asked her to clarify, she abruptly ended the conversation. Very odd, indeed!

I received a call while I was in the midst of my exercise routine, so I couldn't pick up. Moments later, I got a message saying: "You've missed a call from me at HH:MM DD MON. This is a free Call Alert from O2. To turn this off, call 901, hit #, then select option 5 followed by option 5." It feels quite dodgy, especially since the message didn’t come from an O2 number.

Fraudulent outfit trying to pull a fast one! They rang me up claiming I’d been involved in a car accident over the past year – absolute nonsense! I decided to entertain their nonsense for a bit, but they didn’t stick around for long before dropping the call.

They rang me up, saying they were keen to assist me with a claim regarding a car accident I supposedly had in the last couple of years. The funny thing is, I don’t even have a car! I ended up spending a good quarter of an hour tying them up with all sorts of questions. It was quite the encounter!

I didn’t allow him to go on with his pitch; I simply informed him that I had not been involved in any accidents and had no interest in what he was offering. I've had an experience that's quite in line with what others have mentioned. The moment I put up a listing on Gumtree, my phone rang non-stop regarding the incident! It was a bit overwhelming, so I quickly took my number down from the ad, and voilà—no more unsolicited calls. It’s far easier for real buyers to reach me through Gumtree’s messaging system instead.

I've been inundated with calls from this number – no less than six times in just the last quarter of an hour! Despite my clear message the first time, stating that my number is on the Telephone Preference Service list, they persistently chatter over me, insisting it's regarding some supposed car accident. It’s incredibly frustrating, as every time I try to end the conversation, they just ring me again immediately. To make matters worse, it seems they're also using two other numbers, as I’ve received calls from those as well. What a nuisance!

Interestingly, I had three calls within a mere five minutes of posting the ad the day before; one of those was from an 0161 number, which is from the Manchester region.
