Got two calls from “Amazon Prime” in less than an hour. The first one claimed some cash was taken from my card, but I ended the call right away since I cancelled my Amazon Prime ages ago. Then the second call came through, I just hung up again and looked up the number - 01908679388. Pretty sure it was just a dodgy scam trying to pretend to be Amazon.

Theres loads of people in the UK getting scammed out of millions by dodgy Amazon fraudsters, according to the police’s action fraud updates online. If you think you’ve been targeted, you should definitely report it. Just do a quick search for ‘action fraud’, head to the police.uk website and find the area for reporting scams or phishing, and let them know what happened.

Got a dodgy call claiming it was about renewing my Amazon Prime. They told me to press 1 to cancel or extend the membership. Wasn’t trusting it so I just ended the call straight away.

i missed the call but when i dialed 1471 to see who rang me, the number was unfamiliar. so i looked it up here and was relieved to find out. not much more to say apart from it happened on 24th april 2020 around 2:36 pm.
