After I left my comment, I decided to look up this number and found it belongs to a cat rescue in Milton Keynes. I gave them a ring to let them know their number’s been cloned. They’re now sorting it out with both the police and BT.

Some bloke phoned me claiming to be from Amazon security, saying I’d ordered an iPhone using my number. I told him that wasn’t true and called him out as a scammer. Then I mentioned that I work with the police, which seemed to freak him out because he immediately ended the call!
