This number kept ringing me quite a bit so I ended up blocking it. Even after that, I can still see missed calls from them on my phone. A while back, they told me I owed money to HMRC, which wasn’t true as I’d already submitted my tax form and paid everything. It’s quite unsettling to hear something like that out of the blue. Someone mentioned it could be a scam, otherwise I might have replied. They stopped leaving voicemails once I blocked the number.

It was the World Vision phone fundraising crew ringing me. They got in touch since I backed a petition on Facebook about stopping child marriage. It’s totally legit. The supporter care line for World Vision is 01908841010, though like loads of big groups, they use various numbers for their different teams.

I keep getting annoying spam calls from this number/area code. Today, someone else tried to reach a person who isn’t me. Then, right after, my phone showed it was calling itself. With all the stuff that’s gone on with this number, I definitely consider it sketchy and risky.

Haven’t got any dodgy calls in ages, and I thought, yeah, here we go again. Sure enough, less than a day later, new number to chuck on my blocked list. They rang me around 5:15 in the evening, but it took ages before anyone actually spoke. I could hear a kid in the background! A bloke answered, but his voice didn’t sound like it was from a call centre or anything official. He knew my full name, and when I said it wasn’t me he paused for a second then asked if he’d got the wrong number. I said yes, and he just hung up. Proper companies are usually a lot more polite most of the time. Definite BLOCK.
