10 yearsWe received a call from this number, but unfortunately, we weren't able to answer it.12 yearsI received a rather persistent call today from a person claiming they wanted to discuss a PPI refund with me. Despite my repeated inquiries about whom they were trying to contact, they stubbornly kept replying, "You, Sir." I then asked, "And what’s my name?" The response was, "I don’t have that information to hand, Sir." To which I said, "If you can't even tell me my name, you really shouldn't be ringing me up. Kindly remove my details from your records, or we could have a problem." Her response was simply, "Alright." It felt a bit dodgy, so I have a hunch it was a scam.13 yearsWhen I picked up the phone, there was a long silence, so I decided to hang up, thinking it was probably a telemarketing call. Turns out, I wasn't far off the mark!13 yearsAbsolutely, it’s a proper nuisance. If you’re overly courteous and prefer to stay on the line (which I might have done, being a bit daft), they’ll actually transfer you to the bank! They’ve got the nerve to instruct you to deny that a company told you to make the call. It’s all rather suspect if you ask me, so I hastily ended the call as soon as they tried to connect me.13 yearsReceived a dodgy call from a woman with a thick foreign accent who inquired whether I had any PPI claims.13 yearsI expressed my delight at their call and inquired about their address. To my surprise, they abruptly disconnected the line. In retaliation, I shot them a text labelling them as rude, yet it seems they have a total aversion to receiving texts. Is there any way to put an end to these pesky calls?13 yearsI received a call from the "PPI Claims Department," and I must say it felt like a right con job.
