I wasnt home when the call came through but using '1471' I managed to get the number that rang me. Few weeks down the line I tried ringing them back after seeing other reviews here but the number's dead now. Also got a call once from someone with a strange accent about 'meter readings' - I asked them to speak clearer and they just hung up! Seems like theres a load of dodgy callers out there these days.

This number has rung me a couple times just last week, last one being on the 29th May. They had an accent kinda like Indian or Pakistani, like a few others mentioned, saying they were from BT. I just ignored it and left the phone off the hook till they gave up. Honestly, its pointless trying to chat with these lot. Really brings a bad name to people from those places. Shameful behaviour if you ask me.

Got another call today, this time from a bloke pretending to be from my internet company with some fake claim about my broadband.

Got a ring from this number earlier, some lady with an Indian accent. I told her I don’t own a laptop or computer, and she just went mad, telling me to get lost before cutting me off. Proper rude!

In the space of just three days, this number has called us twice. The initial call ended abruptly with silence. Then, about ten minutes ago, a woman with an Indian accent said she was ringing on behalf of BT, warning that someone else might be connected to our BT broadband. When my wife questioned how she had that info, the call quickly dropped. I reckon this number is a bit iffy and ought to be looked into.

The accent was incredibly thick and there was this loud background noise like a call centre or something. I caught bits about BT Openreach and IP addresses but honestly, it was too hard to follow, so I just ended the call.

Just had another call from these guys, had one last week too. As soon as I told them I’m not signed up for anything with BT, they cut me off straight away. Such a waste of time, don’t they have proper jobs or what?

Got a call from a lady with a very strong Indian accent I could barely catch what she said. Then a bloke calls, again with an Indian accent, says he's from Openreach. He was on about someone else using my internet and threatening to disconnect me in 2 hours unless I followed his instructions like opening my PC and such. I told him exactly what I thought before hanging up on him straight away!

Honestly, these call centres are nothing but a pain and deserve to be dealt with properly. They keep bothering folks non stop. OFCOM really needs to stop faffing about and finally make them pay for all the grief they cause. It’s about time these annoying nuisances were stopped for good! Enough is enough, OFCOM, sort it out!

They gave it a go trying to scam me, but I just ended the call. They rang back a couple of times after that though.

This number rang me today saying they were from BT. They claimed they’d been tracking my IP for several days and warned that some scammers from Nigeria were trying to hack into my internet. They asked me to get on my computer or laptop to sort it out. When I said I didn’t own one, they just ended the call. Thought I’d share in case it warns anyone else.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with BT Open Reach, telling me a bunch of people had broken into my broadband account. She wanted me to get on my computer so she could guide me through stopping them. I told her BT isn’t my internet provider and I wasn’t going to follow any of her directions, then just ended the call. She kept pushing but I wasn’t having any of it.

Just got a call from this blasted number like five minutes back. I’m disabled and almost hurt myself rushing to answer before the voicemail picked up. Didn’t manage to get to it in time and they didn’t even leave a message. Proper annoying! I thought calls like this were meant to be banned now? Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if the ground just yawned open like that volcano in Hawaii and swallowed these muppets whole into some fiery abyss.
