I recently received a call from 01908-178583, supposedly from Home Energy Saver. When I inquired how they obtained my number, the response was that it came from a computer dialler. I pointed out that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service and that they really ought not to be contacting me. At that, they abruptly hung up. Afterward, I dialled 1471 to check the number and ended up with a dead line tone when I tried to return the call. The caller identified themselves as Home Energy Saver. Quite the nuisance!
