I got a call from someone claiming to be from my insurance about an accident I supposedly had. When I told them I hadn’t been in any accident, the person just hung up straight away!

some bloke claimed to be with esure, saying i was entitled to compensation for a no fault accident. he came across as genuine, and stupidly i shared some personal details. he told me his name was jonathan rooney but gave me a dodgy phone number to ring him back on (01704 222221), which didn’t seem right. honestly, these scammers get better and better at sounding real.

They said they were with esure, but it was obviously a scam, don't trust it.

I reckon it was a telemarketer since they were trying to sell me kitchen gadgets. Not sure if it was a scam or just a genuine pitch, but I wasn’t interested so I politely said no thanks. They just said alright and hung up after that.
