They called a few times but then just gave up!

I think I gave my phone number to CIC World when I entered one of their contests (not my brightest moment). When I later asked a very polite lady to take my info off their list, she was absolutely courteous about it.

Last week I handed out my number at Alicante airport, and since then I’ve had two calls from different numbers which I ignored. I’m kinda hoping to catch one of them sometime, just to mess around and string the convo along for a bit - might make me feel a bit more entertained.

Cheers for the heads up, folks. Learned the hard way not to get involved with those harmless looking airport surveys. I took part once and now I’m bombarded with spam calls claiming I won a free holiday. They keep ringing from different numbers but I’ve blocked them all now.

I've put a stop to all their 0203 numbers now and just today I actually picked up one of their calls on this line - now that's blocked as well. I foolishly gave them my info at some cake and bake event earlier in October and they've been ringing me non-stop since. Can't quite work out why they reckon I need to go to some seminar when apparently I've won a whole week’s free holiday! At first, they mentioned they'd send details through the post but then that quickly changed!

Got a call from CIC Holidays saying I’d supposedly won a free holiday at the Grand Designs event in Birmingham last week. They asked me to go to a 90-minute info session to get the details. Seemed a bit iffy to me.

I recently got called by CLC World Resorts who said I could win a holiday. Turns out, they want you to pay a £90 booking fee just for showing up to a 2-hour timeshare pitch. They pressure you the whole time, promising you’ll get a voucher for a week’s self-catering stay, but you have to fork out the fee before that. Feels a bit like a con to me.

I gave my number out at Malaga airport (bit daft, I know) and now I keep getting calls from these people saying I've won a holiday. Did a bit of digging and found out it's actually a timeshare firm trying to lure you in. Best to steer clear, if you ask me.
