It's becoming rather tiresome, I must say. The phone keeps ringing relentlessly, and when the answerphone takes over, they simply hang up without a word. I answered the call today, only to be met with a long silence before a woman with an accent inquired if she was speaking to a Mr xxxxxxxx. That was the last straw for me; I hung up straight away. These persistent cold-callers are driving me mad - it's an unending nuisance!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent using this number saying my TPS had run out and I had to sort it again. Had a quick look on the TPS site after and it says you don’t have to renew once you’re on it. Plus, the official site clearly states TPS is free and warns about dodgy firms trying to charge you. So yeah, I just hung up on him straight away.

I've had this number ring me about four times now. The caller claimed to be some sort of call blocker and kept demanding my card details, threatening I'd get loads of nasty calls otherwise. He was really aggressive, shouting down the phone. Every time I ended the call, he’d ring straight back, insisting on my statement number. Proper unsettling behaviour.

This number called me like six times today. I picked up just one time, but there was a long pause before anyone talked so I just hung up.

I’ve had this number call me a good half-dozen times today alone. It’s using a UK area code, but there’s a noticeable lag on the line that makes me think it’s coming from abroad. I’m not keen on engaging with them and inadvertently confirming I’m here. I’m at a bit of a loss as to how to put an end to this. Being on the Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to make a blind bit of difference.

Got a couple of calls today, but I usually don’t pick up unknown numbers now because of all the scam calls going around. I always check my voicemail later if they leave a message. Reading through other people’s comments, it sounds like this number could be risky.

This number has kept ringing me 6 times today. When I picked up the first call, there was just silence for a bit - probably an autodial or some overseas call, so I ended up hanging up. They've called again a few times, roughly once every hour. But when I don't answer, it just switches to voicemail and then they cut off. Quite annoying really.

Just like some others mentioned, this guy rang up saying my "subscription" for some "free" TPS thing was ending soon. I didn’t let him finish, told him to bugger off and said I’d handle it on my own if needed.

some guy called saying he was from tps mentioning my card had expired and needed new details. i acted like i was dialing the cops and suddenly he yelled "miss its not a scam" then just cut me off.

01906 593445 Got a call from a woman with an Indian or Asian accent, who claimed she could stop all my spam calls if I shared some info. I thought it sounded a bit dodgy, so I refused and was about to end the call when she suddenly got quite aggressive, warning me I'd regret hanging up. I just ended the call anyway. Weirdly, since then I’ve had way more spam calls than before. Is it just bad luck or did she actually do something? Either way, I’m not sorry for cutting her off - no scammer’s threats are gonna push me around!

I've received four calls today, only managing to pick up on one occasion. There was a foreign-accented individual on the line who asked for me by name. I requested that they cease contacting me, though I’m not particularly optimistic about it!

Some bloke with a funny accent rang up, claiming he was from TPS and said my membership was due to expire today. I’m already signed up with them, tho. I didn’t really entertain him for long. Years ago, I had a pretty much the same call and played along until he started asking for my bank info! That’s when I hung up sharpish.
