So this number’s rung me up about 3 times over the past week. I usually let the answerphone pick it up first, and the moment it starts, they just hang up. Seems to me they’re just checking if I’ll bother answering. I’ve got a bunch of ones after me for debts - those dodgy legal loan sharks - and when I ignore them for a bit, I reckon they pass my number to some rubbish call centres to have a go. Then the calls die down for a while, but after a few months the debt callers come back, I ignore again, and then the scammy calls begin all over. Bit of a annoying cycle really.

I ignored five of those calls but ended up answering the last one because I was getting fed up. The caller claimed it was a TPS check, but I told them that wasn’t the case and demanded they stop calling us. Now we wait and see if they’ll actually stop.

When you forget to pay your bill, TPS usually rings you up before they disconnect everything. I was actually glad to get their call. My debit card hadn’t cleared the payment, and after that, I’d have lost my data and landline. Big thanks to them for giving me a heads-up instead of just cutting me off straight away. I just checked with the bank and they said the payment didn’t go through. All fixed now, and my phone, internet, and broadband are back to normal. What a relief!

I've had four calls from these pesky folks! I asked them nicely to stop ringing me, but they just hung up and called again. So, I gave them a piece of my mind and slammed the phone down... only for them to ring back straight away! I’ve decided to play a little game with them instead. I’ll just say, “Hold on a moment, let me fetch someone for you,” and then leave the receiver resting on the table. It could be a laugh to see how long I can keep them chatting. It’s their call, their expense!

So, I got a call from someone saying they were 'Telephone Preference Management Service' and I just told them to remove my number from their lists, as the legit TPS never actually rings you up.

My elderly family members got called by this number 01905916745 four times within an hour, but not a single call actually connected to them. After going back and forth with BT and filing complaints, I managed to get Caller Display set up, which apparently BT offers for free now. I also bought a phone fitted with a nuisance call blocker. You can grab these from BT, Currys, Argos, or loads of other places both online or in stores. There's quite a variety of brands offering these too.

I got a couple of calls from this number within half a day. The caller kept asking about nuisance calls, similar to what others mentioned in the October TPS threads. When I said this was the only annoying one I get, she didn't seem to find it funny at all. I also told her I wasn’t interested in any upgrades. Still, they keep ringing me up.

Some bloke with an Asian accent called me claiming his name was Harry. He said my TPS protection had expired and needed updating. Then he asked if I owned the phone line. I quickly told him TPS doesn’t need renewing, spotted he was a con artist, said I wasn’t interested and hung up. Honestly, why can’t they get these muppets to stop? If it was my elderly mum, who’s 83, she might have fallen for it without a second thought!

Every afternoon, I get calls from this Indian man. He always wants to know if I'm Mr Thompson. I tell him no, then he asks if this is my landline. When I say no, he just ends the call. It's so annoying and a waste of time. I really don’t get why the government hasn’t banned cold calls completely, with proper jail time for those who ignore it.

I got calls from this number pretty much all day yesterday, like maybe twelve times or so. I picked up the first one, but the caller just hung up straight away. After that, I ignored the next 11 calls. Now, they’ve started again this morning. If this isn’t harassment, then I don’t know what is. I'm a pensioner and honestly, I can do without this hassle.

It all kicked off yesterday around lunchtime with about 8 calls coming through by 7.25pm. Then this morning, they started ringing again. Didn’t pick up at first because of what I read here, but the kids were watching telly and Brian Blessed was on, so I answered and put the phone near the speaker. The line went dead straight after. This bloke from India called me and already had my name, phone number, and address, plus he said I had two accounts with a popular bank and even knew the sort code! He claimed to be from the TPS management team and said there was an expiry date coming up on the card I use to pay my phone bill. Supposedly, he was just updating their records. Thing is, the bank name and sort code he mentioned weren’t the ones I actually use for my payments.

I tried a blocker app before but it wasn’t any good. We can tell someone’s attempting to call though because the screen lights up, but the phone itself doesn’t make a sound.

My elderly mate, who’s 80, got a ring from this number. The bloke on the line spoke with an Asian accent and kept going on about how he was helping to cut down on nuisance calls. Not sure how, but he mentioned she’d lost a debit card not long ago and even knew her address plus the expiry on the card. Then he started asking for even more bank info. Luckily, she’s quite clever and said no, so he just dropped the call. Watch out if you get a call like this!

Got a call on my landline from some guy named Jon claiming to be from TPS. He said he needed to verify my info so they could keep blocking scam calls to me. Then he asked for my debit card expiry date as ID proof! I told him that’s not how ID checks work and I’d never share that info. He got a bit rude and threatened to end the call, but I hung up first. Watch out for this sort of scam!

I didn’t manage to pick up the phone, but my 88-year-old mother did. She mentioned that the chap on the other end had an Indian accent. When I took over the call, he hung up rather abruptly. I managed to get hold of the number, but when I attempted to call back, there was no ringing at all. Quite peculiar!
