Almost daily I receive these automated calls warning that my internet will be cut off within a day. It’s always a recorded message trying to scare me.

Just got a call saying my computer is at risk because my IP address got hacked or something. They threatened to cut my connection in a day if I don’t let them in. Definitely sounded like a scam trying to get access.

I picked up even though I figured it might be a scam, but all I got was the usual dial tone. Sounds like they might be checking who picks up so they can ring back later or maybe they’ll just pass my number along once they know someone’s answered.
