They claimed to be calling from Microsoft about my mum’s laptop. The phone was on speaker and I could hear everything. I grabbed the phone off her and it was obvious from the accent and background noise it was some call centre in India. I told the bloke to take his scam elsewhere and stop bothering us. He quickly got all aggressive, telling me to hand the phone back to my mum and that I was interrupting a proper call. I wasn’t having any of it and refused. Then he started shouting more and even threatened me, saying there’d be consequences if I didn’t comply. I warned him I’d report this to the police. After that, he got even more worked up. The number has been blocked now, thank goodness.

It was one of those robotic calls so I just ended the call straight away.

I answered my house phone and this bloke’s automated voice said something like “we value your call, someone’ll be with you soon.” Then straight away the call got cut off from their side. I never called them! Sounds like just another random dialling scam to me!
