Got a call that said it was Talk Talk but it was totally dodgy. Definitely not legit. Watch out!

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my internet service. I asked him which office he was calling from, and after he just repeated TalkTalk, I pressed him again about the location of his office. Then he suddenly cut me off and hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Talk Talk. As soon as he started, I cut him off with, "No way you’re from Talk Talk." He tried to carry on with his pitch but I jumped in again, saying, "You’re definitely not Talk Talk." Then he just hung up. These scammers keep ringing me, telling me to hit Windows+R and other dodgy stuff. Best thing is to just hang up or pretend you don’t understand, but never follow their instructions.

Got a call from a US voice, sounded like Talk Talk, with a recorded message asking me to press 1 or 2 about a supposed internet issue. Didn’t trust it, so I’ve put the number on block.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be with Talk Talk. Before she could say much, I cut her off and told her I’d left Talk Talk ages ago - their service was rubbish, so I’m now with EE. Then I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. These annoying scam calls need to be stopped, it’s so frustrating getting bothered with pointless calls like that. 🤬

Got two calls from 01905767322 today. The first one was some nonsense about Talk Talk and telling me to press 1 or 2, so I just hung up and blocked the number. But then at about 2.21pm, they rang again and actually got through this time. Proper annoying!

A blog I follow just warned about a rise in really clever phishing emails, thanks to a big breach at some major firm’s database. Don’t know which company got hacked though. Weirdly, I got 7 dodgy calls today like these. Makes me think for sure the hackers have sold the info. I hadn’t had any calls like this in months, but suddenly 7 in one day is suspicious. I always block unknown numbers without picking up, wouldn’t take any chances.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk internet support - sounded like a very polite Indian woman. When I mentioned I felt sorry she worked for that company, she abruptly hung up. Honestly, these calls aren’t just annoying, they’re risky if you let them access your computer or internet. I used to think of them as mere nuisances, but after reading up on other people’s experiences, I’m calling them DANGEROUS from now on!

Loads of times I’ve got calls from what sounds like Asian ladies, thinking they work for Talk Talk or something. I usually just ignore them but last week I picked up just to see what they wanted.
