I've ceased answering calls from this number, as the person on the other end never engages in conversation. Yet they keep ringing, often three times daily! It's quite the nuisance, really.

I received a call on my emergency phone, which I reserve solely for urgent situations while I look after my mother. It’s beyond frustrating dealing with these blokes; they’re both bothersome and quite rude. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to ring back and hurl a racial slur my way. It's absolutely unacceptable that anyone should have access to my number without my explicit permission.

I keep receiving these calls, and more often than not, they go silent until I hear that infuriating "caller has cleared" message. Nowadays, I follow a methodical approach and report every nuisance call to the ICO. You can find the complaint form here: http://www.ico.org.uk/complaints/marketing It's quite straightforward, and I'd reckon if enough of us take action, these pesky callers might just end up facing a hefty fine! I've also been tackling this issue with Npower, who’ve outsourced their canvassing to a firm called Telesurf. I gave their complaints team a bell, insisting they clarify how they obtained my information. To their credit, they were quite responsive, though I've yet to receive a proper answer. At least it feels satisfying to turn the tables on them. Oh, and it never hurts to drop the name of the TV show Watchdog into the conversation!

This particular number has been ringing my landline repeatedly throughout the day. Each time I answer, there’s a frustrating pause of 20 to 30 seconds before anyone speaks. Now that we’ve noticed this pattern, we simply hang up during that awkward silence, but it’s still incredibly bothersome.
