11 yearsToday I got a call on my phone from someone claiming to be from the National Audit Office. They were asking for a Mr Harris, but that's not anyone in my family or me. I told the woman that and figured she’d just hang up, but she kept going. She said they were doing some audit to cut down on nuisance calls (which seemed a bit ironic) and wanted to ask me some questions including my name and address. Naturally, I was a bit wary. Then she mentioned she needed my address to send me £250 worth of money-saving vouchers. I asked her why anyone would just send that much voucher money to a complete stranger in the post. Her answer was something like ‘it’s to thank you and compensate for your time’. Not sure if this is legit or just a scam, but I didn’t want to take any chances.
