The message said I never activated the software last year, but now they’re reissuing new licence keys for free as part of a promotion. They asked me to reply with my callback number so a technician could help with activation. Signed off by Jan Dorant, Supervisor PDF SUITE." It looked dodgy to me so I marked it as phishing and blocked it straight away.Jan Dorant10 yearsToday I got an email from some company called PDF SUITES claiming I bought a program named PC CLEANER back in 2015 but never actually activated it, even though they said I paid £73. They asked me to ring a premium-rate number to speak to their “friendly” tech support who’d help me recover the activation key since they were apparently running some new deal on the software. Funny thing is, I bought something like this a couple of years ago and it was pretty rubbish, so I ended up cancelling it. Obviously, I didn’t bother calling the number. Problem is, I never signed anything and they couldn’t even get my name right. I told them to shove it and said I’d report them to the police for trying to extort me.
