They mentioned there were two unusual transactions: one for £300 towards Amazon and another for £1010 for an international transfer. They claimed these transactions were out of the ordinary, especially since I'd never used my card for such payments before. They prompted me to press 2 if I wanted to either validate or cancel the transactions. I do have an account with HSBC, so out of curiosity, I pressed 2, but quickly realised something was off, hung up, and used the number printed on the back of my card to call them directly from another phone.
