At first, he told me he wasnt trying to sell me anything, then went on about some discounted loft insulation scheme I supposedly used. I could tell he was after something, so I just said I wasn’t interested. We did have our loft insulated through a similar scheme years ago, so maybe he got hold of some lists? Not feeling sure about the caller at all from the get-go.

This bloke rang up about putting in loft insulation even though we've already got some. I just told him off straight away, said I’m already sorted on that front anyway. Told him to jog on basically!

This woman claimed she was volunteering and mentioned the firm that fitted our loft insulation had shut down, suggesting they might have used dodgy materials. She said they’d be nearby the next day and could pop round to inspect it. When I refused, she warned me I wouldn’t be able to sell my house if the insulation was no good. To me, it felt like a typical scam or some shady sales tactic.

I got a call where the guy demanded to speak to the woman of the house, calling her by her first name. When I asked what the call was about, he said something about loft insulation. I told him she wasn’t in, and then he just hung up on me!

Some people nearby were doing a free loft insulation check, claiming they’d spot any condensation issues. Yeah right... like they wouldn’t find anything wrong. Ended up not being eligible though, too young apparently.
