Got a call earlier claiming they had a special deal on roof insulation and said they'd send a surveyor over since they were nearby. Sounds like a classic scam to me.

I just found out that some con artists got reported to 7726.

Got a missed call but didn't catch who it was, tried ringing back and it just hung up straight away before even ringing. Pretty sure it's just some spam.

i was getting loads of calls every day from this really pushy woman trying to sell me something. even though i made it clear i wasnt interested, she just wouldnt take the hint. at one point she asked if i understood what she was saying and when i told her it was all going over my head, she acted like i was on board! eventually i had to just hang up, but they kept ringing me again anyway! such a hassle.

Got a call saying I’d won a holiday and they needed my info to send it over. Can't recall actually receiving any tickets though. I did fill out a ‘just for us’ survey a while back, so maybe it’s connected to that.

I got a call saying I’d won a fortnight holiday, but they said I had to give quite a bit of personal info before they'd send the tickets. When I told the woman on the line it sounded like a scam, she just chuckled and didn’t take me seriously.

Got a ring from this number saying something about me being in a relationship and paying a mortgage, which is odd cos I’m a council tenant. They also mentioned us living together but not married - no clue who these people are. I was tied up at work when they phoned earlier, so couldn’t really catch what they were on about. Just a heads up to be careful with calls like this!

Apparently, it was someone from your tech team!

They claim you can get a free 2-night stay if you visit their site, but it’s a total scam. Definitely don’t share any of your personal details with them!

Good thing I didn't pick up this time. I always make sure to look up unknown numbers here before deciding to call back or answer.

I just got a call from that very same number. The woman on the line was saying something about a holiday and told me I was lucky because I'd been picked for it.

Some woman rang up saying "you and your girlfriend" had won a holiday. She wanted loads of my personal info. I said I was tied up and asked her to ring back in 5 mins. Obviously, she never bothered to call again.

Received a call from Aria Resorts (ariaresports.co.uk). It started off with the classic "congratulations, you've won a prize" spiel, but it ultimately led to a pitch about attending a 90-minute presentation to claim our winnings. They mentioned that a letter would be sent out to confirm the details and include our voucher. I had a quick peek at their website while they were chatting away. It appears to be part of a promotional campaign. Interestingly, they only asked for my name and address-no other personal information was requested. Let's see how this unfolds... - Caller: Aria Resorts

Had a ring from this number not long ago; they must be ploughing through some sort of list. I decided to humour them since I often enter online competitions, but once I got transferred to the rewards department and the whole rehearsed spiel started, I lost interest and hung up. No thank you, not going to waste 90 minutes in Filey for that. Cheers! - caller: Vaniki

Received a call claiming I was a lucky winner of an online contest and there was a possibility of me having snagged a car! Strangely, the caller couldn’t specify which contest I was supposedly part of. When I informed them that I hadn’t entered anything at all, they simply replied, “Alright, we’ll remove you from our contact list then.” Quite the odd interaction, I must say!

I believe it was a holiday firm, though I couldn't quite catch the name despite asking her several times to repeat it. She claimed I had visited their website and had some exciting news about a prize for me. I reiterated that I had no knowledge of the company, so it was odd that she assumed I’d been on their site. She insisted I had, and was keen for me to verify some personal information. I told her I wouldn't be sharing anything with her, which prompted her to abruptly end the call.

I received a call from someone claiming I'd entered a competition, but truthfully, I've never done any such thing. They asked me a couple of rather peculiar questions, like if I was between the ages of 30 and 60, and whether I had been in a long-term relationship or married for several years. To be honest, I was quite put off and simply told them I wasn't interested and that I really hadn't entered any competition at all.

I picked up the phone since it was a local number. The woman on the other end mentioned that she could have some positive news for me but needed to gather a few details beforehand. I decided to hang up and have since blocked her number.

Received a call yesterday from someone claiming I’d bagged a prize after entering my details on a website. Strangely, they used my work email, which I hardly ever check. The caller was incredibly pushy, insisting I must have visited this site, but I firmly told her I hadn't. I even reiterated the same thing during her previous call. - Number: 0190.4899687
