Got a ring from 01904659942 earlier, didn’t bother saying anything (I never do with unknown numbers). It was dead quiet for about 20 seconds then the line went dead. I’ve had quite a few of these calls lately. If you just keep quiet, they end the call without anyone talking. Seems like some sort of automated thing that only kicks in if you reply. Staying quiet has worked out fine for me :)

This number rang me with a recorded voice saying it was Visa and there was a £600 payment on my card that I hadn't made, telling me to hit 1 if it wasn’t me. I called my bank afterwards and they said lots of people had phoned about the exact same thing, warning it’s all a con. They recommended contacting them on a different phone number than the one the call came through on, in case the original line was still linked to the fraudsters.
