I wasnt home when this number rang me. I looked it up here and it looks like they are now callling people in Staffordshire and Cheshire too. Its really handy to find out who’s calling through this website.

I've had another call from this number this week, claiming to be from Amazon concerning a payment being taken from my bank for Amazon Prime. The thing is, I don’t even use that service! I picked up on the dodginess straight away.

A few minutes back I got this call recorded. I dialled 1471 and they gave me this number, but the call time suggested it was 4 hours ago! I ended the call after just a few seconds.

i've got this call a few times now, total scam no doubt about it. it’s a fake message pretending to be from amazon prime saying they’ll take £9.99 out of your bank every month. they then tell you to press a certain button, but don’t do it! this has come from different landline numbers each time, and even though i block them, somehow they manage to use new ones. i even contacted amazon’s london head office a while back to report it and they replied saying they don’t call customers like that and it wasn’t their call. just a heads up to anyone else! - jc, york

As soon as I answered, they just ended the call straight away.

The number was unfamiliar to me, so I chose not to answer. It kept ringing for quite a while. Luckily, I decided to search the number afterwards and found out it was just a scam.
