These scammers are just trying to steal your info, which they'll probably sell to other crooks for a bigger con later on. Watch out when blocking numbers though, some call blocking apps only let you block a certain amount, then they stop working right. Definitely report this phishing scam to the cops or NFIB at Action Fraud. They use the reports to track how bad the problem is so they can crack down on it. Every call you report counts. Sure, they do catch and shut down scammers sometimes, but honestly, not nearly as much as they ought to.

some bloke called Jordan or something like that called me. couldnt make much out cos of his thick indian accent. he kept asking if my phone number and postcode were right. i asked what the call was about and he just ended the call. blocked him straight away.

Got a call where the person wanted to talk to my missus but then just dropped the call. Bit weird if you ask me. Went ahead and blocked it.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know which I thought might be from the hospital I’m waiting on, so I tried ringing back. But all I got was some automated message saying they couldn’t take my call and try again later. I looked up the hospital numbers I have but none matched that one. Then I used this site to check and ended up blocking the number. Cheers for the heads up!

some bloke called himself brian but had a strong indian accent. he claimed the call would only last a minute, then started firing questions at me about my bills and address. i ended the call after a couple of minutes.

I let it ring but the caller didn't say anything and left no message so I've blocked the number, probably a scam I reckon.
