As soon as I picked up, the woman cursed at me and then abruptly ended the call.

It’s quite apparent this is some kind of automated calling system (I thought these were outlawed now). I saw it was from a York number, so I answered, thinking it might be something local, but all I heard was a recorded "Goodbye." When I called back, I was met with an endless loop informing me it was a marketing firm, and that they could be in touch again soon. What on earth is going on?

I got a call from 01904 301856, and the woman on the other end introduced herself as Hazel, claiming to be representing a company named ECO_GRIEVE out of York. Since I reside in York myself, I inquired about her location and the company's address. Surprisingly, she admitted she had no idea where she was calling from nor the business's address. When I pressed her, arguing that someone using a York number should at least know their whereabouts, she merely responded that she was unsure of her location. The conversation revolved around eco energy matters. To add to it, I had received a call from 01904 301854 just yesterday.
