As soon as I picked up, the woman cursed at me and then abruptly ended the call.

Looks like an annoying auto-caller to me (aren’t these meant to be illegal now?). It showed a York area code so I answered thinking it might be someone local. All I got was a robotic voice saying “Goodbye”. Tried calling the number back and it just keeps playing some marketing spiel on repeat. Now they’re threatening to get in touch again later, seriously? What’s the point.

I got a call from 01904 301856, and the woman said her name was Hazel, claiming she worked for some company called ECO_GRIEVE in York. Since I’m also from York, I asked her where exactly she was calling from and what the company address was. She couldn’t tell me either, saying she had no idea where she was phoning from or the address of the firm. When I pointed out that if she’s using a York number, she should know where she’s at, she just repeated she didn’t know. The call was about eco energy. Funny thing is, the day before I had another call from a number similar to this - 01904 301854.
