I received a call from this number, and the bloke on the other end insisted he was from Microsoft. He was quite persistent about needing remote access to my computer! According to him, there were numerous indicators suggesting that my machine was riddled with a multitude of viruses.

I’ve now blocked that number completely. The app also lets you stop annoying texts, which is a nice bonus. Would recommend giving it a go if you’re getting calls from this number!

some firm called up saying they were from microsoft. They said they needed to get into my computer remotely for some reason.

Got a call from Vodafone sales today, and it was actually Vodafone themselves. They somehow had info that Vodafone normally wouldn't share with outside companies. Still, it was just another sales pitch, even though I’m already a customer.
