so I answered the phone and said hi, the person on the other end also said hi. I repeated hello just to check, then suddenly they just hung up. The voice sounded like it was from an indian call centre for sure.

I think it’s one of those call centres from India. They keep switching numbers constantly, so blocking one does no good since the next call will come from a completely different one.
