They won’t leave you alone unless you tell them to stop for good with a cease & desist letter. Cabot Finance have been ringing me nonstop even though I don’t owe them anything and I’m not a client at all. I tried calling them back on 03447987009 and they admitted I’m not one of their customers and couldn’t assist me. So why do they keep pestering me daily? I’ve blocked their number now and left reviews on Google and Trustpilot about this nonsense. I’d recommend you do the same, it might push them to actually sort it out.

Then some bloke said I owe money to... well, the line kept going all crackly so I couldn’t hear properly. I asked him to repeat it and every time, the sound cut out. After a couple of tries, he just told me to feck off and then hung up on me 😂 Totally dodgy, best to just ignore these calls.

Got a call from a recorded female voice saying it was Cabot Financial. Since I do have dealings with Cabot, I reached out to their support via live chat. The person there said it’s probably not their number since they usually use an 0345 prefix. However, they weren’t completely certain and told me they’d check with different teams and get back to me the next day. I’ll post an update here once I hear back. Cabot is a legit debt collection agency, so if the call is genuinely from them, don’t jump to calling it a scam. But right now, we just can’t be sure.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a Senior Accountant at British Gas. As if we’d fall for that. What possible reason would they have to contact us? It’s just a dodgy energy firm trying to trick small businesses into pricey contracts that line their own pockets and screw over the company. Seriously, watch out. Honestly, they’ve got no real clout, no more than your postie, so you can just give them the cold shoulder - or straight up tell them to buzz off!
