Got two calls today from someone saying they’re the NHS, but they only used a short version of my first name, never mentioned my official NHS name or my surname. Definitely felt dodgy. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

The number said it was from the NHS, but I don’t really buy it since it was a blocked call. I never give out my info over the phone, especially to dodgy numbers like this one. Wouldn't trust it at all.

CAUTION!!!
I received a phone call from these individuals who started off acting all friendly by using my first name. They claimed to represent the NHS and mentioned something about a Health Check that everyone is supposedly entitled to every five years, yet hardly anyone seems to be made aware of it! The caller then proceeded to ask whether I had undergone a medical check-up in the past five years.
I told her that I would expect my GP would have given me a heads up about this. Honestly, I felt they were just another dodgy cold-calling outfit trying to rake in profits at inflated prices! I'm not keen, thanks!
Proceed with caution as these companies are becoming increasingly deceitful with their misleading claims and offers.

This number has rung me more than ten times in just three days!! I haven't picked up yet. 🤔 After going through the comments here I might just answer, but for those thinking it's probably legit, I live on the Isle of Man and have no reason to get a call from the NHS in England about booking a check-up with a GP. I've never been registered with an English GP and the NHS in England doesn't cover the Isle of Man. Just putting that out there! I'll see what happens if I pick up next time this number rings.

There’s no way these calls are from the NHS. I went through a deed poll name change over a year ago, and the official NHS always use my new name. But these people insisted on calling me by my old married name! They didn’t even say it right. The accent sounded kind of Indian, but not heavily. Feels off to me, like something dodgy is going on. Maybe they try to scam you into paying for some bogus health check? I wouldn’t trust them, could be risky.

Someone rang me asking for a person I didn’t recognise. When I said I didn’t know them, they said they’d make a note of it and change their records. They weren’t pushing any sales or products and ended the chat nicely. They never mentioned who they were (I didn’t think to ask either), but judging by other comments here, it seemed like a genuine mix-up, maybe from the NHS.

Got a call from a Worthing number saying they wanted to schedule a health check for me. Seemed dodgy since I’m with the East Sussex NHS, not West Sussex. Just a heads up - if you're over 55, any legit health check invites should come through your own GP surgery. I’m sure of it because I recently had mine done!

These folks are contractors working for the NHS, basically getting paid to do jobs your own doctor ought to handle. It's totally wrong, really wrong. On top of that, they’re cold calling people, and I thought that kind of thing was illegal nowadays???

If it really was the NHS trying to arrange a health check, I reckon they’d leave a voicemail. I’ve had calls from a Manchester area code just like this before, no message left so I just ignored it. It’s probably just a call centre fishing for personal info to sell on. I’m definitely blocking this number. BE WARNED, IF I EVER NEED A HEALTH CHECK, IT’LL BE MY DOCTOR’S SURGERY CALLING ME DIRECT, NOT SOME COMPANY PRETENDING TO BE NHS.

I rang back the number and it turned out to be the NHS wanting me to book a health check appointment since I’m between 40 and 70, which I am. I scheduled one for the 22nd of July but still haven’t got the confirmation text they promised. The call seemed legit, nothing dodgy about it.
