Some bloke named Josh gave me a ring and got a bit aggressive when I said I wasn’t bothered. I had an unpleasant experience while trying to sell home insulation. The conversation abruptly ended when I mentioned that I was registered with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). Home Guard UK. Company number 11023674, started back in October 2017. Their last accounts from Nov 18 show they have 4 workers. They keep ringing about some survey on cavity wall insulation and damp issues. I’ve told them to stop calling before but they just wouldn’t listen, ringing me up multiple times a day. Loads of insulation scams are going around at the moment, prob coz of the season. If you get a dodgy call, make sure you report it to Action Fraud through their report phishing page. Just follow the steps online and don’t forget to send a detailed report to the NFIB at the end. It don’t take much longer than using this site. They said they’re sending a CHARTERED SURVEYOR (quoted at £150 an hour, I added that bit) to check for any damp issues. Then they’ll do a full report and tell me what they found. I’m guessing this’ll end up costing around £500 at least. Pretty sure (actually know) this is just an excuse to try and flog wall coatings to shield my home. Thought all this cold-calling nonsense had died down. Sounds like they’re just after vulnerable old folks to take advantage of. I’d say this is HIGH-RISK. Hope the b*stards get hit hard under GDPR rules.

Got a call from an unknown number, so I just let it ring out and go to voicemail. After looking it up here, I’m seriously thinking about getting a whistle to shout at them next time.

I really don't get why BT allows numbers like this to keep operating, especially when we're already paying a fortune for their service. Getting calls from these cheeky and clueless people can be really upsetting for some folks. They seriously need to put a stop to this and block the number before it causes more problems.

I got a call but no one said a word, even though I kept saying Hello? over and over. There was some soft music playing in the background. Somehow, I ended up blowing a really loud whistle right by the phone’s mic. That’s when the line went dead!

They're ringing at odd hours now. Every time I pick up, there's just silence on the other end - really annoying.

Yesterday, I had a call from Josh over at Houseguard Insulation UK, chatting about cavity insulation. I told him I don’t live at that address anymore and it wouldn’t make sense to bother the new owners because the house was built way before cavities were a thing - only cavities I care about are dental ones! But, today he rang back and acted like he had no clue about what I said yesterday!
