Turns out it’s some data gathering firm, and the last woman I chatted with told me they’re actually based in the Philippines. The questions - or as she called it, an “opinion poll” - were pretty standard: like whether I have Sky satellite, who my phone provider is, stuff like that. I’m left wondering who funds these places to put together what seems like utterly pointless databases? Am I just the odd one out refusing to answer, while everyone else just gives them all the info?
