Phone number ☎️ 01903768600 👆 is reported as a frequently debated number linked to calls about refunds, cheques, or letters supposedly from Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, or related entities. Some report genuine contact regarding uncashed refund cheques and routine account checks, often involving basic security confirmations such as name, date of birth, and address. However, numerous others highlight scam risks: calls demanding personal or banking details, refusal to identify the caller or department, or inconsistent information prompting suspicion. Someone pretending to be from Halifax called me and seemed legit at first. They asked for security info to explain why they were ringing, ended up getting my new address and asked about my last mortgage. I couldn’t remember the postcode so they said they’d call back tomorrow to get it. This was all after I got a letter recently but when I checked it was just a statement. I rang Halifax myself and this wasn’t one of their official numbers - definitely a scam.

Got a phone call from this number today saying I was due a refund, but the account details they had were incorrect. They left a voicemail asking me to ring 08000271310. When I rang back, they wanted more info from me. I didn’t give them anything and instead asked for a number to check if it was legit. They just gave me the usual Halifax 24hr banking contact. Feels like a scam to me.

Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be from Halifax’s mortgage customer service, asking for my husband’s name. He passed away like 18 months ago. I told them we closed his account ages ago and even gave our bank a death certificate. Now they want me to send another one to their so-called centre - no idea why! Feels really dodgy to me.

01903768600 gave me a ring and left a voicemail. This number belongs to the LLOYDS group for making outgoing calls. Mine was from the Halifax branch and in the message, they asked me to call them back on 08000271310, their incoming line. Banks often have different numbers for outgoing and incoming calls. I returned the call and it was a genuine conversation about a real issue. So, 01903768600 seems to be trustworthy.

Got a call from this number about a letter supposedly sent by the Bank of Scotland, but I never got any letter. The person said they couldn’t talk about it unless I did some security check. I told them I don’t have an account with BOS and they just said they’d send me a letter instead. Definitely sounds like a scam to me 😡😡🤬

Got a call for my lad, but first they just wanted to chat with 'Mr'. Then suddenly started asking for him by his first initial instead of his name - if this was from the bank, I’d expect them to go about it in a more proper way. I checked other websites and most say it’s probably a scam. If you get calls like this, don’t bother getting into a talk with them. Just tell them you’ll ring the customer services number you already have or have a look at your online messages.

Weirdly, I got two calls from this same number really close together and after reading the reviews here, I decided to block it. Then, I got a voicemail from a real company I’m currently working with, asking me to ring them back. Makes me wonder if these scammers somehow use genuine numbers to cover their tracks?

Got a call from this number earlier today. I left a message for a government office, the MOD. When they rang, I was already on another call so couldn’t pick up. Halifax called me, it wasnt no scam. They just wanted to check if I got a cheque because I never cashed it. They didnt ask for any sensitive info, just my name, date of birth and address to make sure they was speaking to the correct person. Proper genuine call, nothing sketchy at all.

I received a call from this number, and they left a voicemail claiming to be about a refund for my Halifax account. They even provided an 0800 number for me to ring back. Quite frankly, it’s rather irritating, as I do have pending refunds from Halifax that date back several years. However, given what others have said about this, it seems rather dubious and likely too good to be genuine!

They wouldn't say who they were, just kept saying it was a work call for my partner. Said they'd ring back within a week. I asked again who it was, but no answer. A. It’s against the rules - callers have to say who they are. B. How come this number is still active when loads of people are reporting it from different places? Best to block and blacklist it.

01903768600 (Worthing). Got a bit worried cos my PA system picked up a call from this number around lunchtime today (I hung up while checking), and I’d just logged into my Lloyds account at about the same time - might just be a coincidence, but some stuff I found online suggests it could be related to a possible Lloyds scam.

I received a call from a number claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, stating they had dispatched a letter to me. I informed them that I had not received anything, at which point they insisted we conduct a security check. I wasn’t convinced of their legitimacy and opted out of that process. They then advised me to visit the Bank of Scotland's website and contact their customer service, suggesting they could connect me to the number 0800 085 2764. Upon reaching out to BoS, they verified my details and confirmed that no letters had been sent and they couldn’t find any record of the number provided. When I dialled the number 01903768600 that had originally contacted me, I was met with a BT message indicating it was incorrect. Quite the dodgy situation!

Has anyone got a clue who this might be? I've had loads of calls from this number, and it's all a bit confusing. They phoned asking for my name, address, and date of birth, saying I was owed a cheque. But when I checked with my bank, they said nothing was due. Then I got a text saying thanks for registering my voice ID, which I definitely didn’t do. Now I’m feeling really worried... anyone else had this?

This organisation says it's a government body that helps folks claim unclaimed dividends. But after I asked them for copies of my divorce and marriage certificates, they phoned me up and started asking my nationality, which I gave. Then they wanted my date of birth and national insurance number. That’s when I got suspicious and told them to forget it, realising it wasn’t a legit organisation like they said. Who honestly asks for such private details?

Really dodgy phonecall. Neither Lloyds nor Halifax use numbers beginning with 01903; all their calls come from 0345 numbers, which is their official contact. They told me to block any calls from that prefix and report it to 101. I’d recommend everyone else do the same - it looks like a big scam going around.

I didn’t pick up cause 01903 numbers always seem sus, tried calling it back and it just says "invalid number". Rang Lloyds directly to check if it had anything to do with them, but they said no. They only use 0345 for calls. Best just block this number and any others like it pretending to be them.

I got a call from this number and it seemed a bit dodgy. The guy’s voice sounded super robotic and he asked to do some security checks, but couldn’t really say what the call was about. He said it was from Halifax, something like their credit care solutions department. He suggested I ring my bank instead coz he had no proper info. So I looked up the number online and found 08000271310 listed as their direct line. Turns out they’re refunding some interest on my credit card and just needed to confirm my address since the one on file was out of date.

Totally legit, got a call from Halifax bank checking if I’d got a letter and cheque from them. They said they’d sent me two cheques but I’d only cashed one. They told me exactly how much both were for, then said they cancelled the one I never received and are sending a replacement out now.

Yeah, its really Halifax or Lloyds calling about “late payment charges”. Sometimes it’s for an account you might of shut down, like mine. If you cant get through just ring back on 0800 0271310. They were really helpful checking the old address on my account to make sure its secure. I was honestly quite surprised. So, take the call, stay calm, and if you not got a cheque yet there’s a good chance you’ll get one soon.

When I got a call from this number, I checked online and saw loads of folks saying it was a scam. But honestly, it’s not! They just asked for my name and address, no other details. I phoned Lloyds Bank to double-check, and they confirmed what the caller told me, though they wouldn’t give me all the info, so I stayed a bit wary. Then today, I got a cheque in the post. Got a call from this number saying they were from Halifax, talking about a bank account I shut down like 15 years ago. They wanted to check if I’d got some letter they sent out, and started asking me loads of security stuff like my full name, birth date and address. When I told them my address didn’t match theirs, they seemed surprised - well, it wouldn’t match, I moved ages ago and never updated them after closing the account. They then mentioned some refund over fees, which just didn’t feel right at all. Seriously, don’t pick up if this number rings you.

This number seems legit, it’s Lloyds Bank calling to check if I got the refund cheque they posted, since I haven’t managed to pay it in yet.

The bloke sounded like a typical cold caller and honestly didn’t seem keen on chatting with me. That just put me off even more. He mentioned he was from Lloyds Bank, but I don’t have an account there, so I told him I wasn’t interested. What’s odd though is he gave me a number to ring back (08000271310), which turned out to be a Halifax contact number - and I actually have an account with them. So, I’m pretty certain the call was legit, he just didn’t give me the correct details.

Got a call from Lloyds Bank saying I might get a refund on a loan I took out about 5 years back. It seemed a bit dodgy, so I tried calling them back but no one picked up and the call dropped quickly. To my surprise, today (01/08/2018) I actually got a cheque from Lloyds for the refund. So, this number is definitely not a scam - it’s just Lloyds Bank customer service making outbound calls.

Just noticed a missed call from this number on my phone. No voicemail or anything. I’m not a Lloyds customer anyway. Glad I checked this site first, otherwise I might have ended up calling back for nothing.

I received a call from this number, but unfortunately, I couldn't pick it up in time. After checking out the feedback on this site, I'm convinced it was a dodgy call. Neither my husband nor I have ever held an account with either Halifax or Lloyds, so it's quite puzzling!

I didnt pick up the phone, but I went ahead and rang Lloyds customer service, and they confirmed the number was legit and connected me to the related department. Looks like the number is from an outgoing switchboard, so I can't say for sure all calls from it are genuine, but this one seems alright. The convo was about an account I closed back in 2012, which felt a bit odd.

Said they were from Bradford & Bingley BS, but I’ve never had any account or mortgage with them. They talked my wife into giving them my mobile number. Now I keep getting these annoying repeat calls I really don’t want. Why is this kind of thing even permitted? Why do we have to deal with this rubbish? The officials should be doing more to stop these calls and blocking such phone scams properly. Just a frustrated phone user from the UK here.

Like another user said, this number only makes outgoing calls so you can't ring it back. Best thing to do is call Lloyds customer service directly and ask to be connected to the team that sorts out refunds for late payment fees. I did the same to check up on my own refund.

I phoned back but just got a message saying the number's not recognised. Surely a proper bank like Lloyd’s wouldn’t be using something like this? Also, I’m not even a Lloyd’s customer.

Honestly, ppl can be so daft at times. I rang the main customer service number and they passed me through, so I figured it was the legit and safest route since it's Lloyds.

This is Lloyds regarding a refund for being overcharged. It’s legit (Lloyds sometimes apply a hefty fee if you pay your credit card late). I had to ring Lloyds credit card support (you should do the same - just find their number on Google or your bank statement) and after a while I got connected to a Lloyds team in Cardiff, who make calls from this number (01903768600) out of Worthing in Sussex.

Got a missed call earlier and when I called back there wasnt any ringing, just some weird noise from a number I didnt know. So I ended up googling it and stumbled upon this site.

Got a call today from someone saying they were with Lloyds bank, but before going any further she asked for my personal info. I said I wasn’t sure if they were legit. Tried calling the bank back but number didn’t show up on my caller ID. Just be cautious and maybe report this number to the bank they claim to represent.

In my experience, especially living here in the Republic of Ireland, the best approach with any suspicious calls is just to let them ring and don’t answer right away. Afterwards, you can always look up the number on Google to see if it’s dodgy. That’s exactly what I did this time. Unfortunately, these days it feels like there’s scammers everywhere online and on the phone. Having worked in the police force for three decades, I’d say that’s sound advice. Stay safe everyone!

There was a missed call, so I tried ringing back but ended up with a robotic voice telling me I’d got the number wrong.

I didn’t wanna talk to them once I found out it might be a scam, but then a cheque from Lloyd’s for almost £300 showed up. I’m proper pleased. Seems like the number’s alright after all!

I picked up the phone and the caller claimed to be from Lloyd’s Bank regarding a letter they supposedly dispatched to me. However, when I pressed for specifics, they were rather evasive and insisted I hadn’t actually received any correspondence at all. Just a word of caution to everyone - keep your wits about you with this number: ‭01903 768600‬.

I had a ring from a number linked to a correspondence from my bank. If you happen to receive a call from this number, be aware that they’re reaching out on behalf of Lloyds concerning an account you once held with Halifax. Apparently, there’s a refund awaiting you. Lloyds has taken on the task of distributing refund cheques for Halifax. I finally got my cheque through the post and have successfully deposited it - it took a fair while to arrive, but it was a lovely surprise.

I received a call from this number recently, claiming to follow up on a refund cheque from Halifax. They seemed to know the precise amount of the cheque, which was rather impressive. The caller was quite straightforward and only enquired about basic information, such as my name. They didn’t ask for any account specifics or push for any additional details, which I found a bit reassuring. Just checking if anyone else has had a similar experience?

DISREGARD ANY GOOD REVIEWS ON THIS SITE!!!
I received a dodgy call claiming to be from Halifax, stating they had dispatched a letter to me recently. When I mentioned that I hadn’t seen any correspondence, they proceeded to request my personal information, which I firmly declined to provide. The caller then pointed out that I was right to be cautious and suggested that I visit the Halifax website, retrieve their contact number, and follow up with them for clarity. I did just that, only to find out that Halifax had no record of contacting me and that the call had absolutely NOTHING to do with them!

I got a call from Lloyds about a cheque for some refunded bank fees. I was pretty anxious about sharing any info, so the security checks were super quick. Luckily, the cheque arrived in the mail not long after and I had no trouble cashing it.

Received a call today from someone wanting to speak with me. I questioned their identity multiple times, but they refused to disclose who they were. Naturally, I wasn't about to reveal anything either! Eventually, they just hung up. It’s high time the government puts a halt to these dodgy companies, no question about it.

Lloyd kept mentioning that they were offering some kind of refund or something, but he wouldn’t actually say what it was about. Looks like the other comments here are saying the same thing.

I received a message indicating that I was due to receive a cheque in the mail. It advised me to ring a specific number if it didn’t turn up. I suspect it's linked to a premium rate line. When I checked with my bank, they were completely oblivious to the matter.

They claimed to be phoning from Lloyd's to discuss a letter supposedly dispatched to me on 4th December 2017. I mentioned that I'd not received anything by post and inquired about the nature of the letter. Instead of providing the information, they began to request my security details to continue. I refused to share any personal information and suggested they send the letter again if it was genuinely necessary.
Be wary of these calls!

I recently received a telephone call from this number, inquiring after my husband. They mentioned it was merely a private conversation, but wouldn’t divulge the name of their organisation or any other details. Quite peculiar, really. After perusing some of these remarks, I’m relieved he was out at the time. I’ll be sure to give him a heads-up about any future calls from this number.

I got calls on both my landline and mobile from someone who said his name was Kalash. He mentioned he was from Infinity People Services or something like that, but the connection was rubbish and he spoke so fast I couldn’t make out much. Oddly enough, each time he just wanted to chat with a mate of mine... really strange!

Got a call saying I was supposed to receive £713 by cheque. Was proper chuffed since things are tough at the moment, but after seeing this, I found out it’s all a load of rubbish. Really disappointed. For a minute, I thought the Christmas stress for the kids was sorted. Nope, things are actually worse now. It’s shocking, honestly. There should be laws to shut down these scam companies.
