The call showed up as likely spam on my phone, so I just blocked it right away.

Since I signed up for the Beko guarantee on my washing machine, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from dodgy numbers. Didn’t pick up this latest one, but I’m guessing it’s just another spam call.

Got a call out of the blue from this number. A lady claiming to be Gabby, supposedly an energy and insulation advisor from the area, told me she thought we owned our home. I told her we don’t, but she kept asking if our loft had insulation. Thing is, we don’t even have a loft! Felt like it was some kind of automated message reading from a script rather than a real person, so I just hung up. Feels dodgy, like a scam to me. We’re on the No Cold Calling list and our details are ex-directory, so it’s really annoying to keep getting these calls. Honestly, why aren’t they banned already?

I’m on the TPS and still no luck getting through. Almost every call I get these days is exactly the same kind.

This afternoon at about 3:32, I got a call from 01903529712. The woman claimed to be from the local energy advice team and assumed I owned the house. She didn't wait for me to say anything and just started reading out her sales pitch. I kept asking her who she was calling on behalf of and why she was bothering me since I'm neither a customer nor interested. After a bit, she finally gave up and hung up.

Energy company called me up and straight away assumed I owned the house. Nope, council property here! As soon as I mentioned it was council, the line just got cut. Weird how saying council property seems to make them hang up so quick! Bit disappointing really.

They didn’t bother to leave a message, so I just went ahead and blocked them.

I wasn't able to pick up the phone, not that I ever really use the landline anyway. It's mostly that pesky mother-in-law who tends to ring. I’m relieved I missed the call, though, as I came across a multitude of forums buzzing about different energy scams. It's appalling, really-these lowlifes must be relatively easy to track down. They ought to be caught and locked away! Preying on those with unlisted numbers or who have registered with the Telephone Preference Service is downright despicable. How on earth are these scams still running rampant in 2024?

I got a call on our landline, which we hardly ever pick up. Usually, it’s my mother-in-law who answers, but she was tied up that day, so the answering machine got it instead. Later, I looked up the number and found out it belonged to some proper lowlife scammers. You’d think it wouldn’t be hard to track these people down, so why on earth haven’t they been caught and stopped yet?!

Had a call about loft insulation, kept ignoring what I was saying. Felt like it might've been a robot rather than a real person.

Got a call about loft insulation, total hassle. I’ve been on the TPS list for more than two decades and still get these annoying calls.

Got a missed call at 12:43 on Wednesday, 06/03/24, but no voicemail. From what others have shared, it looks like this is probably some kind of scam. Best to steer clear.

Got a call from a lady claiming there’s a problem with our local energy supplier, we just ended the call, didn’t think it was legit.
