What an absolute bother!

It appears that this number belongs to the central phone switchboard for HMRC. You won’t be able to return a call to it as it merely routes calls. I actually missed a call from this number myself, only to discover later that our mother-in-law had received a call from HMRC’s office beforehand. Quite the coincidence!

Received a call from this number today. They didn’t bother leaving a message, and when we attempted to return the call, we were met with a robotic BT voice saying that the line was disconnected, and then it cut out. Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?
