This dodgy outfit managed to swindle a lot of money from an elderly vulnerable person. To make matters worse, they also shared their phone number with other scammers. Proper despicable behaviour.

Got a call off a woman who said her name was Kirsty from some company but I couldn't catch what she was mumbling about properly. She was chatting away and then asked for my sort code to 'confirm' something, mentioned sending paperwork soon. Felt a bit fishy to me so I just declined and ended the call. Even after asking her a couple times to repeat who she was with, she kept mumbling, which made me even more uneasy.

Got a call saying my white goods insurance was about to run out. I don't even have a policy with them, seems dodgy to me. Definitely a scam.

Received a jumbled text asking me for my sort code, but I didn't comply.

Got a letter from a company named Protect You claiming I need insurance for my white goods and that it would be £75 every three months. This is rubbish since I rent the place and all the white goods are my landlord’s responsibility. The email included on the letter isn’t even real. It came from an address in Littlehampton and was signed by someone called David Sullivan.

It's baffling how the police just seem to ignore these scammers, even when loads of people complain about the same ones over and over. They're more than just annoying; they're causing real harm to society, yet nothing gets done about it. Why aren't they taking serious action against this ongoing problem?

Just had these lot ringing up my 93 year old mum, trying to push her some pointless insurance she already pays for. Proper slimy, ripping folks off like that. Absolutely detestable bunch.

My elderly in-laws got caught out by this number. Apparently, they somehow managed to put a direct debit through on my father-in-law’s bank account, saying it was for some drain work. It’s clear they've been running these dodgy scams for a while now.

Called me earlier today, a friendly woman claiming to be from some home insurance company saying my policy was nearly up. Thing is, I don't even have that sort of coverage. Honestly, these calls are starting to annoy me a lot.

Received a call supposedly from drain insurance, but when I asked where they were based, the line got cut off. Honestly, I'd say just ignore if you get this one.

this number has called me again today, making it the fourth time in a month! a woman on the line mentioned a password i used like two years ago - i always update my passwords frequently. when i asked where she found the password, she just ended the call.

Has anyone else come across that drainage crew asking about insurance? Feels a bit dodgy to me, like one of those scams. Just thought I’d check if anyone else had a similar call.

Today, I got a call from this number but they didn’t leave any message. Do you reckon it’s some sort of scam or just spam? Should I just block it? What’s everyone else’s take on this?

I got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, but when I asked him for my personal info, he couldn’t really give me much. He only knew my surname and the address, nothing else. I told him, if you really know who I am, then you should be able to answer a simple question. I warned him too, saying if I looked his number up online, it would probably say 'scammer.' Honestly, people need to stand up and ask these folks for plenty of info about themselves. If they can’t provide it, then obviously they don’t have your proper details like legit companies do.
