I got a call on my landline, which is supposed to be off the public list and on the TPS, from what sounded like one of those auto-dialling machines - there was that weird pause before a man with an Indian accent spoke. When I asked why they’d rung me, he said “your insurance gave us your number after your accident”. Problem is, I haven’t had any accident at all. Just a proper annoying and illegal hassle! You’d think Ofcom would actually do something about this.

Someone rang saying I’d been in a car crash. I said I’ve actually had a few accidents before, then they asked where they happened so I mentioned a couple in London, one in Birmingham, a couple in Manchester and two up in Wales. Next, they passed me on to a supervisor who started asking me again the same stuff. Then they wanted to know what I do for a living, so I told them I’m a stunt performer and suddenly the call just dropped. No idea why that happened lol.

Got a dodgy call from an accident claims place trying to pressure me into signing up. The bloke on the phone sounded Indian, so I kept him chatting for a good five mins just to mess about. When he asked about what happened, I said something like, "Well, I’m not sure we’ve got a case since my mate’s actually registered blind and probably shouldn’t be behind the wheel. Besides, that lamppost’s the real victim here - should be claiming for the trauma of us crashing into it." He just dropped the line straight away! Made my day! :)

Somebody called me up about a car accident claim, said I might be owed a lump sum for an incident that supposedly happened a few weeks or months ago. The funny thing is, I don’t even own a car, and I’m not sure if I can actually drive either. Quite the mix-up!

Got a call from some company about an accident claim, sounded like a total scam. The guy on the phone had an Indian accent and kept trying to get me to sign up. I figured I’d mess around a bit and kept him chatting for about five minutes. Like others have said, this bloke with an Indian accent called me, banging on about my husband being in a car crash lately. But when I said my husband hasn’t driven a car for 15 years, he just hung up straightaway. These lot are such a pain.

How I handle those annoying calls: First off, make sure your phone shows who’s calling. Then, tell your mates and relatives that you won’t speak first on unknown calls. When you see an unfamiliar number ring, answer but keep quiet - if it’s a pest, they usually hang up, but they still get charged a bit. Only chat if you know who’s on the other end. Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they’d been in an accident.

I got a call on my home phone about an accident I supposedly had, which obviously wasn’t true. The person had quite a foreign accent and didn’t even bother to ask for me specifically. I told them to never ring me again… guess we'll see if they stick to that.

I tried ringing this number back, but it wouldn’t go through, said it was invalid. Pretty sure it was just some sales call, like those annoying PPI refund ones or maybe one of those accident scam calls I’ve had before.
