Got a call from this number earlier, no message left on the voicemail though. I've now gone ahead and blocked it.

Got yet another annoying call from these lot, honestly, when will they get stopped for good? It’s getting so frustrating!

This number rang me on 16th November 2014, but I was dozing off and missed the call. When I tried to call back, my phone provider said the number isn’t real. Sounds like one of those dodgy car crash scams to me. I'm signed up with the TPS too, so I’d hope they monitor stuff like this. Still, is there any way to stop these calls for good?

When I mentioned I was on the TPS, he just wouldnt believe me and called me a liar.

Got a call at 7:30pm but all I heard was silence on the other end. Quite annoying!

I rang all the different numbers on the office phone system, and the caller told me they were ringing about an accident I supposedly had.

This number rang my husband today, an Indian bloke on the other end after a pause started talking about some car accident. My husband said he hadn't been in any accident and told him to get lost, then hung up. Bit strange it got through since we're on the TPS.

This morning, we kept getting a load of calls to our office line. Each time, no one says anything, just silence and then it stops after about 9 or 10 seconds. Strange behaviour really.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent, asking if my car had been damaged. They dialled my work number, which is actually shared for customer service. As soon as I explained this to him, he just ended the call.

Spent about ten minutes dialing each extension at the company.

I got a call on my landline, which is supposed to be off the public list and on the TPS, from what sounded like one of those auto-dialling machines - there was that weird pause before a man with an Indian accent spoke. When I asked why they’d rung me, he said “your insurance gave us your number after your accident”. Problem is, I haven’t had any accident at all. Just a proper annoying and illegal hassle! You’d think Ofcom would actually do something about this.

Got a call earlier from someone with an Indian accent about four car crashes. When I questioned them, they just ended the call straight away.

I picked up the phone, but there was just silence on the other end before it cut off. When I attempted to ring the number again, it turned out to be unreachable. Quite strange, really!

Got a call from some autodialler, guy asked if I'd been in a car crash recently. I told him no, and he just ended the call immediately. Later on, the same number rang again but the call just cut off.

This number has called me like more than ten times this morning! Every time, no one speaks on the other end!

Got a call on Sunday evening, picked up and they just dropped the line. Could hear loads of background noise like a call centre or something.

Had a sketchy call from some dodgy accident firm pushing me to lodge a claim. Thing is, I've never even been in an accident!

Received a call around midday today from a young chap. Had no discernible accent. It seemed like it was concerning some sort of accident.
When I responded to his rather presumptuous small talk with a rather firm "Excuse me?" he promptly ended the call. I was quite relieved.
I only picked up thinking it was someone I recognised; otherwise, I would’ve hung up immediately.

Got a dodgy call on a Sunday night from some company pretending to help with accident claims, trying to push me into signing up. Total scam!

So this number rang me earlier, and just as I picked up, they cut off. Why do these idiots even bother calling if they’re just gonna drop the line? Honestly, is there some weird payout for annoying people? We’re on the TPS and our number isn’t listed anywhere, yet they carry on pestering us. Something seriously needs to be done about this.

Someone rang saying I’d been in a car crash. I said I’ve actually had a few accidents before, then they asked where they happened so I mentioned a couple in London, one in Birmingham, a couple in Manchester and two up in Wales. Next, they passed me on to a supervisor who started asking me again the same stuff. Then they wanted to know what I do for a living, so I told them I’m a stunt performer and suddenly the call just dropped. No idea why that happened lol.

Received a rather dodgy call from a so-called accident claims company attempting to lure me into making a claim. I opted to stay on the line with the gentleman (sounded Indian) for a good five minutes just to have a bit of fun with him. When he prompted me to elaborate on the so-called accident, I informed him that perhaps we had no grounds for a claim since my mate, being registered blind, really ought to have avoided driving altogether. I cheekily suggested that if anyone should be pursuing us, it should be the lamppost we collided with, as it must be suffering from PTSD now. That seemed to do the trick-he hung up on me! 😂

Got a call from them today and they didn’t even bother having a proper chat. Such a pointless call!

Somebody called me up about a car accident claim, said I might be owed a lump sum for an incident that supposedly happened a few weeks or months ago. The funny thing is, I don’t even own a car, and I’m not sure if I can actually drive either. Quite the mix-up!

Got a call from some company about an accident claim, sounded like a total scam. The guy on the phone had an Indian accent and kept trying to get me to sign up. I figured I’d mess around a bit and kept him chatting for about five minutes. When he asked me to explain what happened, I told him my mate's registered blind and probably shouldn’t have been behind the wheel. Then I joked that if anyone’s got a case, it’s the lamppost, ’cause we knocked it right down and it deserves compensation for the trauma! He didn’t seem to find it funny and ended up hanging up! :)

I just got a call from this Indian guy claiming I'd been in a car crash, which I definitely haven't. When I tried getting him to tell me the specifics - like when and where - he couldn’t. Then, he actually asked if I was a total idiot or something! I asked to speak to his supervisor but he just cut the call. Totally dodgy.

I got a call on my home phone, someone talking about an accident that apparently never happened. Definitely don’t trust these guys!

I received a rather suspicious call just now, but my shiny new BT handset has this brilliant feature that requests the caller's information before I decide to pick up. Unsurprisingly, the line went silent and they hung up. I attempted to return the call, only to discover that the number was deemed invalid! What a relief, as I can now firmly block any future attempts from this caller.

Twice today I got calls from this number about some car crash. The people sounded like they had Indian accents and didn’t even know my name. I looked it up and apparently Ofcom hasn’t given this number out yet. Very fishy!

Got a call from some guy in India saying he was calling about my accident from last year. He couldn’t even say my name or which insurance firm he was with. When I told him he was talking rubbish, he just hung up. Proper rude behaviour that.

Got a call about some car crash, but of course it was someone with an Indian accent who didn’t even know my name. Typical.

I just received a call from this number, and to my surprise, my caller ID flagged it as an "International" call originating from "01903031946." When I picked up, there was silence at first, and then I was put through to a representative from Car Accident Helpline. It's amusing to realise that Worthing (01903) is apparently classified as outside the UK!

Like others have said, this bloke with an Indian accent called me, banging on about my husband being in a car crash lately. But when I said my husband hasn’t driven a car for 15 years, he just hung up straightaway. These lot are such a pain.

Dealing with pesky phone calls can be quite the bother. Here’s what I suggest: 1) Invest in a caller ID phone-it’s a real game changer. 2) Inform your mates and relatives that you prefer them to take the lead in conversations. 3) When an unfamiliar number pops up, answer but remain silent. If it’s one of those annoying callers, they'll hang up, and you get the satisfaction of knowing they’re left picking up the tab. Only respond if you recognise the voice on the other end. By managing these nuisances this way, you’ll likely find they stop bothering you before long. Cheers, A chap from Leeds.

I received a call from someone who mentioned they were involved in an accident, and they spoke with an Asian accent.

I received a call on my landline regarding my so-called accident, which, let’s be honest, was entirely fabricated. The caller had a bit of a foreign accent and didn’t even bother to address me by name. I made it quite clear that I didn’t appreciate the unsolicited contact and instructed them to refrain from calling again... we shall see if they take heed.

I attempted to return the call to this number, but it seems to be faulty or disconnected. My hunch is that it's likely a telemarketing call-perhaps one of those pesky PPI claim offers or a nuisance call about a previous accident, which I’ve encountered before.
