No message left once again, so I reckon it's another scam call.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent talking about cheap home repairs. They wanted me to confirm my address first, then suddenly asked for my date of birth. I said no way to that.

I got a call from an Asian guy trying to sell me a medical alert system. I’m only 68, so I found it a bit rude! My mum already has one through the council, which is proper and all, so I basically told him to take a hike and find someone else to bother 😂😂

Got a call claiming to be from Visa security warning me about a £900 charge that was supposedly about to go through my account. They told me to ring them back if I wanted to confirm it. Obviously, I didn’t bother calling because it’s clearly a con. The number was 01902965283.

Some lady with a foreign accent called me, claiming I qualify for a medical alarm since I’m over 59. She kept asking for my bank name and sort code, but I wouldn’t give her any details. She was really pushy about it and I just eventually hung up on her.

That was sketchy, felt really unsafe.

Got a call asking if I was Mrs Banks, which I clearly said I wasn’t. The bloke claimed he was from some medical alert service and insisted I needed to pay for an alarm he’d send me. I told him there’s no way he’d be sending anything as he doesn’t even have my details, then I just ended the call. Mrs Banks hasn’t lived here for more than a decade anyway, so I have no clue who he’s after!

I got a call about a medical alarm system that I neither asked for nor need. They told me it would be £39.99 a month after the initial month, which is actually £10 more expensive than the last time when they pressured me to hand over my bank info. Total waste.

I keep receiving calls intended for my late mother, who sadly passed away quite some time ago. It's really quite upsetting and distressing to be reminded of her loss this way.

Got a phone call from someone called "Adam" who claimed I qualified for a medical alarm because of how old I am. He already had my name, where I live, and supposedly my age too. I told him straight away that even if he was genuine, I wasn’t interested. After checking the number online, it’s clear this is a total scam.

Today at about 10:05, I got a call on my landline from someone trying to sell me a medical alert for £22.99. I told them straight away it sounded like a scam and hung up.

Had a call earlier today, didn’t answer but looked it up here and it turned out to be a scam, so I’ve just blocked the number.

Another one of those quiet calls, and yet again, no voicemail was dropped.

Claimed I was eligible for some sort of Medicare alert system; promptly cut off the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent about some medical alert thing. I just said I wasn’t interested and hung up. Definitely felt like a scam.

Watch out! They claim it’s a free medical alarm, but you end up paying £29.99 every month. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call out of the blue from this number, startin' to share stuff happening round my neighbourhood I hadn't heard about. I said I wasn't up for it and hung up, but then, just a few moments later, the same number rings me back. Pick it up, and there's absolutely no one there. What a load of rubbish, just messin' about with people’s time!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian, saying something about a medical alert system. Felt like a total scam to me, so I just hung up straight away. Definitely seemed dodgy!

Got a call on my home phone at about 1:26 this afternoon. I said hello a couple of times but no one replied, then the line just went dead. After looking into it, I found out from earlier posts that it’s a known scam.

Got a call from someone claiming I could get a medical alarm for free. Then they said it’d cost me £30 a month - not really free, is it? The person on the other end sounded like they were trying to sell something, with a really dodgy Indian accent. To top it off, they actually burped right into the phone at the start of the call. So unprofessional!

They kept ringing me 3 times daily for three days straight about some medical alert thing for over 50s. Honestly, watch out if you’re easily convinced, because they’re really pushy.

Got a call about some medical alarm thing, and straight away I smelt a rat. When I asked about payment, they kept pushing for a direct debit of £29.99 every month. Honestly, this seems really dodgy, especially since older folks might get tricked into giving away their bank info and end up losing cash. Not safe at all if you ask me.

Called asking for somebody who isn’t at this address. Wouldn’t say what company they were from and then just hung up.

If they start asking for your bank info for some kind of personal alarm, you know it’s dodgy. When you pick up, there’s always this weird little beep before they start, and that’s a dead giveaway it’s a scam call.

Got a call from an Asian lady asking about my late husband, who apparently was supposed to get a medical alert device. Total scam, so I've blocked the number straight away.

I didnt pick up since the number was unfamiliar, but the moment the ansaphone kicked in, they hung up. It definitely gave off a call centre vibe.

Got a call about a supposedly ‘free’ personal alarm and they soon started pushing for my bank info. I told them straight up that I wasn’t falling for a scam, but they just kept denying it. Then their attitude shifted, they asked if I had any other comments, and cut the call off on me.

I didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number. Later I looked it up on Who called me and found out it was just some scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be offering a medical alert service - total scam, I reckon. The person sounded Asian and I think they were calling from some call centre. Definitely not to be trusted!

Answered the call, but as soon as I spoke, they dropped the line. So fed up with these scammers just messing about!

I received a call from what they claimed to be a medical firm offering a device that supposedly detects falls, even if you happen to be unconscious, and promises to dispatch assistance if needed. They tempted me with a month’s free trial, but then they started probing for my bank details, including my sort code. The moment I expressed my suspicions about the scam and mentioned that I’d be reporting them to the authorities, the line suddenly went dead. Interestingly, when the initial caller wasn’t making any headway with me, they switched to another individual in a bid to persuade me. I urge everyone-please do not share any personal information with these individuals!

I saw a missed call from this number but chose not to pick up. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. After reading some other posts, looks like it might be a scam.

Got another call from some call centre, all I heard was background noise and a quick "hello" they kept saying before hanging up. This is the third time this week! I'd just block them, but my BT call blocker is already packed full!

This number called my dad, who’s quite old, trying to sell him a medical alert system. They seemed to know loads about him already and were really aggressive, pushing him hard to hand over his bank info. They’re clever at making you trust them fast, which worried me a lot.
