At about 1:25 this afternoon I answered a call but no one spoke when I said hello a couple of times. Then came an automated voice telling me someone had spent £300 on Amazon and transferred £1000 to a bank account. It sounded dodgy to me since the landline isn’t linked to any bank and it’s registered under a family name. If it was genuine, they’d have phoned the person directly on their mobile instead.
