Just like loads of other calls ive got that say theyre from BT but arnt really. Its the same old trick with a different number each time. Proper misleading!

Got a call this morning from a bloke saying he was from BT wanting to test our internet connection. Seemed fishy to me - most of these scammers hide their numbers, but this time the number actually showed up which was a bit weird. Definitely a dodgy call if you ask me.

Was this lady who kept yelling hello over and over, then suddenly said there was an issue with my BT internet. But I’m not even a BT customer, so it was clearly a con. I just ended the call right away.

It’s just the same internet scam rubbish all day long. Honestly, BT needs to sort this out - it’s happening non-stop, all the time!

Got a call like this earlier, some bloke claimed he was from BT and said my internet was hacked from the States or summat. He went on about how they’d cut me off today and suggested I start a new account or maybe switch providers, even offered to sort the transfer for me. I wasn’t having any of it and just ended the call. Then rang BT myself to check, and they said it’s a total scam.
