5 yearsMy 91-year-old dad got a call from a woman who spoke with a strange accent, saying she was from BT Openreach and that his internet was about to be disconnected. I grabbed the phone off him and explained that he doesn’t even have internet, thinking it was a scam. She seemed annoyed, told me I was being rude, and then abruptly hung up on me! Using 1471, I got the number and rang it back on my mobile. An older man answered, sounded quite frail and said he’d just been in hospital.
