I got a call from a man with an Asian accent who said he was with some company called "Safe..." something, but I didn't quite catch the whole name. He started by giving my full name and address, then asked if I could spare a minute. When I asked what it was about, he just hung up on me... very odd!

me and my wife are both retired and usually we always answer the phone hoping it might be one of our children, but after dealing with these scammers, she’s scared to even pick up now. how come these people are allowed to keep doing this and making life so difficult? surely someone should be able to put an end to it. it’s mad how easily they get away with it these days. all i can do is pray the younger ones don’t have to go through this nonsense. jim

Got a call from the same muppet a couple of days back. Picked up and guess what? Not a soul on the other end. Total waste of time, kinda like the place they’re calling from.

They called me with some marketing questions, maybe to share my info with other firms. I told them about GDPR straight away and asked them to delete my details from their records.

I’ve got a voicemail clip from YouTube that I play whenever I get calls from unknown numbers. It basically tells callers that the number they’ve dialled is no longer in service and to either hang up or try later. This message repeats nonstop for around three minutes. I don’t even have to answer or say anything - just have it running on my laptop by the phone. Since I started using it, the annoying calls have dropped quite a bit. You can find these types of “disconnected number” recordings on YouTube easily and save one yourself.
