Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, but it was such a bad fake. The way they spoke was totally off - nothing like the usual professional style I’m used to since I deal with HMRC regularly. I’d say just don’t bother and block the number right away if you can.

Got a call from 01902500215 claiming to be HMRC. When I said I didn’t believe them, they actually warned me to watch out for the police! You can ring ‘em back, but it’s crazy how they just keep doing this without any consequences.

Got a voicemail with some American lady claiming to be from the HMRC. I rang back and some bloke with an Asian accent answered, got really nasty straight away - totally obvious scam. Then he tried controlling my phone through my own number and some random one. Honestly, these scammers are the worst. I told him I’d be contacting the police.

This number has been calling me loads but never leaves a message. If they ring again, I’m definitely going to be wary. Could this be a dodgy HMRC scam? Cheers for all the feedback!

Scam alert from me. This number belongs to a bunch of proper scammers active today. You’ve got about 5 hours left to bug them by wasting their time or using auto redial apps on your phone. Once you’ve read this and left your warning, pick up your phone again and give those scammers a hard time - every bit counts. We’re many, they’re just a few. It might be someone you know about to get ripped off big time. Stay safe and keep fighting the good fight!

I received a rather alarming phone call earlier today from a number claiming that I owed a staggering £4000 in taxes, with threats of court action looming over me. The caller, with a strong Indian accent, repeatedly asked if I could comprehend English and accused me of defrauding the tax authorities. They went on to say I could be facing expenses upwards of £16000! Their tone was incredibly rude and aggressive, even throwing in a comment about not having a heart attack before abruptly ending the call. What on earth is going on with this?

Got an automated voicemail like I mentioned earlier. Since it was a company number, I found it pretty dodgy, and the American accent definitely didn't make me believe it was really HMRC calling.

Today in the late afternoon I got a call from this number saying I owed tax and needed to pay immediately over the phone. I told them I was out and couldn't sort it right then. They started threatening with court and a £5000 legal fee or something. That made me really doubt it, so once I was home I looked up the number online and found out it’s a scam. I just don’t get how these scammers manage to keep doing this without getting caught.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. It was a recorded message with a robotic woman’s voice telling me to ring them back straight away. She said it was urgent and even scared me by warning about the consequences if I didn’t respond. Totally fake, just one of those common scam calls trying to freak people out.

Got a call saying it was urgent and from HMRC, said I had to ring them straight away. These scam calls are getting out of hand, honestly. They should be banned - I worry about older folks or those who aren’t good with tech getting tricked by them.

At about 16:45 today, my 85-year-old mum got a recorded call saying it was from HMRC. The message said she had to ring them back straight away or face big fines. Luckily, I was with her to calm her down. When I called the number back and questioned them, they just ended the call on me. So dodgy!

Got a call on my landline, picked up and they just cut off straight away. So I called back, and the bloke claimed he was from customs and the tax office. I told him I was the queen of Sheba and then ended the call. No idea where they got my number as I’ve never shared it, and they sounded foreign too.

How come nothing is done about these scammers? If I pulled a stunt like that, I'm sure they'd track me down and put me behind bars.
