Got a call earlier today, 10/02/2023, from a bloke named Sean Best who was really keen to chat. He said he was with BSafeBSecure and told me they’re doing some sort of promo nearby. He offered me a free appointment to show off their home security stuff, no pressure to buy. He mentioned if I said yes, his manager Lindsey would ring back within half an hour to set things up and tell me who’d be coming. When I said no and cancelled, Lindsey sounded a bit taken aback. Seems like the other reviews about this are pretty spot on!

I've rung them a few times to sort out an alarm check appointment, but still no luck in actually getting one arranged.

So, this group called twenty 4 seven claims they sell home security and emergency wristbands aimed at elderly and disabled folks. Honestly, I reckon it’s a bit dodgy and probably a scam.

A lady was trying to sell me a safety alarm, said it was good for fires, personal use if you fall and stuff like that. I told her I’d need to look into it before deciding. She then gave me this number and a website - i#itwenty4severn[###]. Feels a bit off, like it could be a scam or something dodgy.

@so this lady rang up trying to get us to agree to a free alarm demo. the catch was you'd have to shell out like £8 to £15 every week for monitoring. when we tried to say no, she kept pushing hard, almost like a hard sell, insisting on fixing a date. then the next day a bloke phoned to chat about the appointment. it took a good 15 mins just to get across that they could come round but we weren’t paying any ongoing charges. in the end, he just called off the visit.

My elderly mate got a ring from this number and luckily she was a bit suspicious about it. It did kinda sound real at first, but she decided to give the police a buzz just to be safe. Good thing she did, cos the cops confirmed it was definitely a scam.

That number, 01902496023, is a right dodgy scammer. Best thing you can do is block it to keep yourself safe. Don't even bother answering.

One of my elderly neighbours got a call from this number claiming to be from an alarm company. They said they'd come by to show different alarms for fire, burglary, and general safety. They mentioned these could be installed at a cheaper price. However, the charges would be for the monitoring service itself. It doesn’t seem like an outright scam, but I reckon the monitoring fees would be quite steep and not really worth it.

Got a call from a lady saying that emergency services are too busy to answer normal calls and that they wanted to install a monitoring system for elderly folks in my home. Sounded a bit off to me.

During the lockdown, someone called saying they’d install an alarm system at no cost. Seemed fishy to me. I wasn’t sure if it was a legit offer or some kind of scam trying to take advantage of the situation. Be careful with calls like that!

i got a call from a firm promoting a crime awareness scheme, they offered a free demo of a monitored alarm system, no pressure at all. they sounded really professional, gave me all their contact info and even told me the name of the person visiting who'd been d.b.s checked. when i saw the setup i was quite impressed and decided to go ahead with it. they also suggested i show it to my family, so i did since my daughter was around. honestly, i'd suggest these alarms to anyone living alone or in a rough neighbourhood - they’re brilliant.

Had a call from someone pretending to be from a security firm wanting to visit my house for a demo. I told them to ring me another time and then just blocked the number.

Got a call from a company selling monitored alarms, they wanted to show me a demo of their system. Definitely not a scam, just kinda dull and nothing special.

Seems a bit dodgy to me. They wanted to come round to show off a security system, and asked me to book an appointment through email. But the funny thing is, they never shared any info about which company they were from. Definitely something to be careful about.

I picked up but no one said anything, then I just hung up. It's one of those annoying calls that just keep coming, really makes you want to block the number.
