I got a call from a guy named Alex, but the background was so loud it sounded like he was in one of those call centres. He claimed to be ringing from Microsoft about some dodgy stuff going on with my computer. He tried to convince me to let him take control of my PC to fix it. Sussed it was a scam straight away, so I started quizzing him on his name and which office he was calling from. When I told him I’d just contact Microsoft myself, he got proper annoyed and quickly cut me off.

I think it might have been a mix-up, because the caller was asking if they had reached someone unfamiliar at my place.
